MOROCCAN HERITAGE. PARISIAN FLAIR.
MEZEL is a High Perfumery house blending the best of both worlds: Morocco's rich perfumery traditions with the flair and expertise of Paris, the global capital of perfume.
The House dares intriguing combinations with precious raw materials and create elegant yet vibrant concepts where scent is used as a strong cultural linker.

THE FOUNDER
Franco-Moroccan, Sophia Gyé-Jacquot built her career in the luxury industry, specializing early on in high-end perfumery. She worked for prestigious fragrance houses in Paris and London.
A strategic marketing expert, she led the development of fragrances from concept to international launch.
Over the years, one realization became clear: coming from two of the world’s richest perfume traditions, she felt the frustration of seeing these legacies reduced to clichés or diluted into conventional narratives. This conviction drove her to create her own Maison, with the ambition of restoring authenticity to the raw materials, craftsmanship, and the stories they carry.
"Few people know, but Morocco’s soil is a treasure trove for perfumers, brimming with precious raw materials"
Sophia Gyé-Jacquot

THE BOTTLE
The fragrance bottles design draws inspiration from an iconic symbol of unity and craftsmanship—the Hassan II mosque in Casablanca. Conceived under the vision of king Hassan II and brought to life by a French architect, this architectural masterpiece showcases the finest Moroccan craftmanship and the French expertise. More than a place of worship, this landmark stands as a beacon of inclusivity, open to all regardless of origin, religion, or gender. The label is embellished with golden threads, representing both the fusion of cultures at the heart of the House but also the artistry of craftsmanship.
